At Erith Commercials we constantly assess the impact we have on the environment.
When an ELV(End of life Vehicle) is dismantled and disposed of, we follow a number of set procedures to ensure pollution and the impact on the environment is minimised.
Our vehicles are all dismantled in stages with all recyclable parts being recycled and CFC's and fluids being disposed of properly.
All water on our site drains through a grease/oil trap to ensure that any fluid spillages can be collected before causing pollution and our concrete surfaces mean that nothing can filter into the soil.
The regulation of ELV( End of Life Vehicle) disposal became EU law in October 2000 and UK law on 21st April 2002. ELV legislation introduces a range of strict regulations for everybody involved in the manufacture, use and disposal of motor cars - from the manufacturer, to the user, and finally to the recycler.
